Scenes from 500 feet above Coogee and Bondi beaches where temps headed into the mid-thirty degree celcius on Saturday afternoon as thousands headed to Sydney’s beaches. Shark sightings have been regular this week and the beaches have been closed on different occasions whilst lifeguards chase out the sharks. In Newcastle, two hours north of Sydney, beaches have been closed for days on end as great white sharks have been seen attacking local dolphins. But today, the heat was too much and Sydneysiders needed the water and a good cooling off.
